19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player secured his first championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden title since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court since spring of the previous year.
The win also signifies he has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his capacity to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
He fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
He rescued 4 early chances in a close third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
